It’s happening. We’re doing it. Whole 30 up in here.
Christina and I are actually doing Whole 28 because I refused to start until after G and I could celebrate our 2 year anniversary (with wine and cocktails) and we are hosting a St. Patricks Day party. I’m writing you after day 1 from my kitchen floor. I’m waiting for some cabbage to cook. Honestly, the hardest part of the day was mental. I eat, and enjoy, mostly paleo foods. But I also have zero will power. I drink too much on the weekends and don’t shy away from a bomb-ass sammy or scoop of scream. But the thought of cooking and preparing “whole” foods doesn’t scare me. But I had to scoop at the store tonight and the ice cream was talking to me and I was basically drooling into all the tubs. And then I started freaking out that I can’t eat dessert. Well, the kind of desserts I’m used to. And then I learned, once again, sugar is in freaking everything. Sugar is all up in my grill and I’m sick of it. It took me over an hour to grocery shop yesterday….WITH A LIST….because I couldn’t stop reading labels and being pissed.
All I have to say is thank goodness Xtina is doing this with me. It already has made it so much easier to have a buddy.
Off to stir some cabbage and hit the hay…..7am tabata!
