Hi friends. How was your day? I woke up today after a weird night shift and promptly ate eggs and bacon on my couch in my bathrobe. It was quite the site. Anyways, I was feeling off today and knew I needed to just sweat it out so I headed to the gym. I’ve recently joined Healthworks and I LOVE it. I love it so much that I bullied Monica into joining too. It’s so nice belonging to a gym that I actually want to go to. I was afraid to pee at my old gym because I thought I would catch an STD from the toilet seat…..yup, it was that disgusting.
At Healthworks I was able to meet with a personal trainer for one complimentary session. She was kind enough to write down the work out we did so I can keep it and keep doing it. Check it out!
To clarify, I did not do the sprints in-between rounds, that was just for warm up. I was a total gym hog today. I went at a busy time, so there were so many people crawling about. But I was no-nonsense today so I took up a lot of space in the corner because I had work to do! Sorry, not sorry.
After the gym I came home and cracked open my new cookbook!
I was so hungry that I forgot to snap a picture of dinner but I made cauliflower rice and topped it with a beef-ginger stir-fry. It was pretty tasty but next time I want to make a sauce to go with it! I’m so excited to try other recipes in this book. I think the Paleo diet is getting a lot of hype which is awesome, but I’m not good about being strict. I’m trying to “clean up” my diet so this book is a helpful start!
